A Sunday in October

After lunch, we headed to a small park a short distance from our home.

The park has Frisbee golf, a small nature trail and some playground equipment.

We opted for the trail first.

It was nice walking through the woods.  We've had a mild fall so far.  Warm days and cool nights.  We still have some autumn color as you look toward the sky.

The path was a bit overgrown, but there was a pretty patch of maple leaves highlighting the way.

The "boys" walked on ahead as I looked for something interesting to photograph.

Eye-catching red berries the birds haven't discovered yet.

The trail quickly ran out and the "little one", who isn't so little any more, played on the playground before we headed home.

Everyone is quietly doing their own thing now.

I think I'll start on another hat.

Happy Trails my friends.  I hope you are enjoying a peaceful Sunday doing something you enjoy.

  1. Looks like a great place to walk and play together.

  2. You live in a nice area. Looks like there's great fun for all.

  3. Your Sunday afternoon sounds so nice, Heather. I loved the picture of the red berries. It would make a beautiful Christmas card picture. Continue on with those hats!

  4. What beautiful pictures, and sounds like a lovely Sunday.
