Quick and Easy Project Complete

"A baby is a blessing,
a gift from heaven above,
a precious little angel
to cherish and to love."

I finished up this quick baby blanket on Friday.  It is one for donation and I hope some new mother will enjoy wrapping her new "bundle of joy" in it.

It is a simple granny square blanket that worked up very quickly.

I used Red Heart Super Saver in Monet; 3 skeins.  For the accent color and border, I used Red Heart Super Saver in Orchid (or it might be Lavender, I misplaced the label).

I'm trying to decide on a next project.
I found some pretty patterns on Ravelry the other day, but haven't settled on one yet.

I hope you are having a blessed Sunday.

Heather

P.S.  Our snow is melting!

  1. What a pretty little blanket, Heather! Love how you trimmed it in the lavender color. It makes all the difference and makes it special. Someone will be so happy to have it. Spring is coming on fast! You'll see the grass any day now.

    1. Thanks Kate. I just made it up as I went along. It's a series of chains, dc and dc-2tog, nothing too fancy. Thanks again. Heather

    2. Not sure why many of my comments are not making it to their designated destinations! Anyway, I have been copying and pasting those that do not publish automatically. Below is the comment I had left initially. Hope you get it!:)

      Hi Heather,

What a pretty afghan; well done! It would be such a comfort to your poor hubby, I imagine, all wrapped up, feeling protected from the nasty challenge he is facing. Your wintry neck of the woods look peaceful, and even more so from indoors, I imagine. I'm sure that pot of soup worked wonders for the chill, being the comforting elixir that it is! Stay warm; cuddling up with your beautiful Blackie sounds ideal!

      Wishing you a lovely week!
