I Started Something...

I started a scarf yesterday.

Some of you with bigger projects on your hooks might be saying "wow"; but it's a breakthrough for me.

:-)

I've had this yarn since early summer.  I've never used it before, but the color selection is tremendous.  It's Knit Picks Palette in Verdant Heather.  It's a pretty olive-green with some warm browns mixed in.

Wish me luck!

We are in for a relaxing evening tonight; a cup of tea, warm fire and a little crochet will be in order.  (Our temps are in the 50's.)

How are you spending your Thursday night?

Take care and may your blessing abound,
Heather

    1. Thanks Dianna, your post today reminded me of my yarn bowl, so I got it out to work with. The stitch is a variation of the shell stitch. Thanks for your nice comment. Heather

  6. Sounds like a lovely evening. Was kind of crazy at our home. Too much going on right now but will soon slow down. I love Olive Green, I believe it is listed in my profile as my favorite color ;). And I saw yesterday where Diana purhcased herself a yarn bowl. I had never heard of one before that! Very nice!

  11. I much prefer small projects. Though I do have a few blankets started, I never seem to finish them, opting for something that I can finish within 30 minutes. :) Good luck with the scarf. Have a wonderful weekend. Tammy

  14. That yarn looks yummy! Perfect colors for Fall! I have not yet worked with Knit Picks yarn, but did score a bag of unopened yarns, all still in plastic wrap at the thrift for a song, and there were a couple of skeins of Knit Picks in it. I am eager to use it!
I also missed your previous to this, pumpkin break post. My, I have been slacking!!! Yum, love anything pumpkin! Today is our first cooler day! With a promise for more of it on the way! I am in heaven. It has been a loooooooong summer!!!
